Lieut. WILLIAM PEDDER, R. N., having been appointed Harbour-Master and Marine magistrate of Hongkong, all persons are required to respect the authority of the said Harbour-Master and Marine magistrate.

The following appointments have been made by the chief superintendent charged with the government of Hongkong.

Mr. ALEXANDER LENA to be Assistant to the Harbour Master.

Mr. JOSEPH R. BIRD to be Clerk of the works.
